Keeping Up with the Kardashian’s.

I have a confession. I was hooked on the O.J. Simpson trial when it was covered in 1994. I followed it religiously. I recently got hooked all over again with the FX series, The People v. O.J. Simpson, broadcast last March.

One thing I took from the actual trial as well as the FX series was the toll the murders took on O.J. Simpson’s dear friend, Robert Kardashian.

Kardashian clearly loved O.J. yet, in my opinion couldn’t accept his innocence, couldn’t swallow what was had transpired. He was truly being torn apart by his loyalty to his longtime friend and his conscience. It was truly a Catch-22 for Kardashian. This is the nature of a biological conflict – it’s being pulled in two different directions, tearing us apart inside, we’re deeply conflicted …a schism within our soul.

In the following clip, listen carefully at 5:57 sec.- 6:24 sec. Pay close attention at 6:15 sec. – 6:19 sec. as he describes the all consuming thinking indicative of the conflict active phase.

36 sec. – 42 sec. Observe David Schwimmer’s portrayal as Kardashian was truly torn apart by his loyalty to his longtime friend and his conscience.

In an earlier German New Medicine blog I discussed the concept of taking the five biological laws out for a ‘spin.’ I hope with this blog and future ones, to give you an opportunity to come along for the ride.

Now, his daughter Khloé Kardashian is making a major claim about the turning point in his health. Years before his death, the late attorney came under fire for defending his close friend OJ Simpson in a murder trial, in which he was found not guilty of murdering his ex Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ronald Goldman. “What I do respect is that [regardless of] what my dad did or didn’t know, my dad would never betray his friend’s trust,” she says in a clip for the upcoming new episode of Kocktails With Khloé. He never spoke about it. My dad also died of throat cancer which does not run in my family. My dad doesn’t smoke, doesn’t drink. I think holding in secrets [and] stress kills you! I feel like you manifest things, you have to think – I’m into symbolic situations.” (intouchweekly)

The biological conflict relating to the lower two-thirds of the esophagus is a ‘morsel’ conflict. A ‘morsel’ being an event, circumstance, situation that one cannot swallow, accept, come to terms with. Only upon coming to terms with the conflict will we enter the healing phase and present with symptoms.

Kardashian was diagnosed with esophageal cancer in July 2003.

We always look for what was good, where was there peace, ease in someone’s life just before they went into resolution.

From Wikipedia – “After dating for three years and proposing in 2001, Kardashian married his third wife, Ellen Pierson (née Markowitz), two months prior to his death.”

Now, what follows is conjecture. Simply my opinion. Nothing in this fictional piece should be interpreted as factual statements that serve as definitive conclusions (keep in mind, this is an entertainment piece.)

We need to look at the nature or theme of what may have been the resolution – in this case, based on the above from Wikipedia – perhaps the new happy marriage?

This information leads us to another possibility in my opinion; that perhaps it was the breakup and divorce from his first wife Kris Kardashian (née Houghton, now Jenner) that was the original ‘morsel’ Kardashian could not swallow, accept, come to terms with. Perhaps, something about this new marriage placed Kardashian in resolution relative to O.J. Simpson. We’ll never know.

I once again wish to be clear. I was not privy to Robert Kardashian’s medical history, with the exception of his diagnosis – this is simply my stream-of-consciousness hypothesizing. To determine the true biological conflicts would be impossible from the outside looking in.

Yet it’s the process of observing life’s events and conflicts that I wish to bring to greater awareness. I wish for all of us to start to become mindful of what preceded an illness. Look for the correlations, the clues, the obvious.
